Eto’o Ponders Shock Move to Uzbekistan

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o has confirmed that he has been in talks with Uzbekistan champions Kuruvchi. “I have several good offers from various clubs at present. I’m planning to return to Barcelona and starting from Saturday I will consider all my options, including the one from Kuruvchi,” said the Cameroon international. The club have offered Barca a lucrative package including money and players.

Check out this new band I found out about called Seether, especially their song called Rise Above This. The lead singer writes all his songs on his album, Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, about his dead brother who committed suicide by jumping off a building ledge,which is what the song Rise Above This, is about. The band is absolutely brilliant SO CHECK THEM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russians ko The Dutch

Guss Hiddinks Russia have surprisingly eliminated the dutch after extra time. At Half-Time the  score was o-o but Roman Pavlyuchenko scored the first whilst Rudd Van Nistelroy equalised on the 86th minute bringing the game in to extra-time. Russia’s brilliant play maker Andrei Arshavin tormented the dutch and delivered a amazing cross into the box for Torbinski to tap in. Arshavin then finished it in the final minutes with a low drive past Van Der Sar.

Frank Ribery misses euros and start of bayerns new season

France star Frank Ribery is set to miss the rest of the European Championships and the start of Bayern Munichs new season. The 25 Year old suffered cruciate ligament damage after scans revealed he hadn’t broken his leg as was earlier feared. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had this to say,” It is very regrettable that Franck has injured himself at the European Championships,however, we are happy that the severe initial diagnosis has not been confirmed.” Ribery was considered the Frenches best player in their humiliating exit from the championships where they finished last in their group behind Romania, in third Italy, who just scraped into second place and Holland who finished first with a 100% record.

Fletcher Blow for United

Manchester United’s Darren Fletcher has  been ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury scans have reavealed. He was taken off with 1 minute to go in Scotlands match with Croatia but it was reavealed today that he should’ve been taken off at half-time. He may miss the rest of the season for united.

Ronaldinho Could Leave Barca

Ronaldinho could be leaving Barcelona claims his agent and brother Roberto Assis. The 28 year old’s future at the club has been the subject of intense speculation as he has been struggling for form and fitness all season. He has come under further pressure as scans have revealed that he has not got a thigh injury as he had earlier claimed. While his future at the club is still in doubt Chelsea and AC Milan are waiting in the wings.

Mascherano Deadline Extended

March 28, 2008

Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano  has had the deadline date for his appeal against his sending-off.  Mascherano has been charged by the FA after very harshly receiving two yellow cards in Liverpool’s match against Manchester United on Grand Slam Sunday. He was charged with improper conduct after being issued with a second yellow card for appealing Fernando Torres’  yellow card. He then refused to leave the pitch and had to be ushered off by manager Rafa Benitez and a few of the other coaches. Mascherano’s deadline date for his appeal has been moved forwards by 24 hours to April 3rd after the FA realised that he was playing for Argentina that same week.
